Boots Haul

After today, I promise I won't buy anything else for at least..... a couple of weeks! (that's long enough right?)

So, I went into Boots and surprise surprise there were loads of offers on that I could not resist! At least I went to the one in my local retail park, the one without the premium beauty counters, so my bank balance did not suffer as much as it could have had I gone to my normal High Street store.

There is:

*Oral B Pulsar toothbrush - sounds boring I know, but it is electric(ish)! Not the conventional electric toothbrush, no charging or anything. Just has enough battery power for the amount of time recommended for use (3 months approx). It was actually buy one get one free so I bought two of these - always good to have a back up!

*Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara - I've heard a lot about this product and have seen the adverts. It was £2 off so I thought I'd give it a go!

This is the first drug store mascara I have bought in years. It gives good length and intensity, however I am not a massive fan of the wand. It is not as soft as other mascaras I have used and feels a little rough to apply. Although this can be seen as a plus and it separates the lashes better than other mascaras I have used.

*L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eye Liner in Shimmering Black - if I want to use eyeliner on my lower lash line/waterline during the day I prefer to use a pencil, and as it was 3 for 2 on L'Oreal products I thought I may as well try it. I must admit I thought the pencil would have been softer from looking at it and trying it on the back of my hand in store. Maybe I am just bias after using Bobbi Brown's long wear pencils and limited edition eyeliner pencils, which are absolutely fabuloso FYI! A nice product all round, not amazing, but nice enough.

*L'Oreal Paris Superliner Blackbuster Intense - this little beauty is an absolute gem!

Not too long ago I purchased a pen eyeliner from Dior which cost more than three times this and this is far better! The colour is richer and this product from L'Oreal is much more easy to apply. Although Bobbi Brown Gel Liner is my absolute favourite eyeliner, I am always on the lookout for something more travel friendly (i.e. something that doesn't require a separate brush that needs cleaning after each use!) Well done L'Oreal!

*L'Oreal Paris GlamShine Stain Splash in 501 Lolita - after denying myself a third YSL glossy lip stain (love them!) I saw this and thought this is far more bank account friendly and is actually the same thing, if not exactly then very close. A great drug store dupe!

The packaging is lovely and the product is fantastic. Just like the YSL lip stains, it smells lovely, glides onto the lips smoothly, hydrates and lasts really well. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a low maintenance lip colour.

*Soap and Glory Mist You Madly Body Mist (travel size) - Soap and Glory is a brand I have been blown away by in the past year. It's innovative and so cute! Not to mention their products are lovely, they've won several awards already. This was also part of a 3 for 2, and after a lot of browsing I decided on this.
I'm not great at carrying around perfume bottles when I'm out and about. I usually prefer a lighter, body mist to give me a little pick me up during the day. Having loved the scents of the body products from Soap and Glory I have used, I was not surprised that I also loved this fragrance. It reminds me of Britney Spears' Fantasy perfume with a touch more vanilla-yness. Very nice indeed, and lasts well considering it is a body mist and not an EDP.

*Last but not least I also bought Balmi SPF 15 Coconut Lip Balm - There has been a bit of a buzz around these 'ball-shaped' lip balms, as it was part of the 3 for 2 offer at Boots I decided to try it.

I love the fact that it is has a little keyring attachment to it, I am going to attach it to my car keys, lip balms always come in handy. As for the actual product itself, it smells nice but is not as creamy as other lip balms I have used. I tend to prefer a creamier texture because I enjoy a luxurious feel to my lips. The Balmi lip balm does hydrate my lips but is so so as far as lip balms go. Great packaging, average product I would say.

So there you have it, my Boots haul! An extremely long post I know, so if you got all the way to this well done and thank you for taking the time!
