Tom Ford Eye Colour Quad

When I first heard Tom Ford was bringing out cosmetics, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some! Last year, I treated myself to a couple of lipsticks, a lip lacquer, an eyebrow sculptor and this beautiful Eye Colour Quad.

The colour I picked was very typical of me, Cognac Sable, a beautiful bronzey Quad. Be warned though, these bad boys are pricey! One quad will set you back £62, so definitely go in store and try before you buy with these.

As you would expect from a luxury product like this, the packaging is beautiful! The mirror is a great size and the whole quad has a nice weight to it, exactly what you want when you've spent so much.
My only gripe with the packaging is the brushes that come with it, don't use them! Use your own eyeshadow brushes, these ones are only good for when you are travelling and have no alternative.

The shadows are all really richly pigmented and look beautiful when applied. There are three shimmery shadows and one glitter (the shade in the top right corner).

You can apply these in lots of ways to create several different looks. For a full smokey eye these are the steps I take: I use the mid-tone brown (bottom left) all over the lower lid, I then put the dark brown (bottom right) in the crease, use the light colour (top right) in the inner corner and on the brow bone, and then press the glitter over the top and VOILA!

I appreciate the price is something that may put people off, however for a one-off present to have in your make up bag I say go for it! Its rare for me to find a palette where I like all of the shades equally so this is without a doubt one of my absolute favourite products for my eyes. Tom Ford make up fits so well within the rest of the brand; elegant, excellent quality, sophisticated and stunning!
