Current Carry-Abouts

I've not always been the best at carrying make up around on the go. I'm more a 'do a good job, get out of the door and get on with it' kinda gal, than one that spends that much time touching up my make up throughout the day.

However, the current bits that I'm making an exception for all have something in common. They are quick-fixes. Soap & Glory's Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder, a solution for shine in seconds (when used in conjunction with the beauty that is the Laura Mercier Cheek Colour travel-sized brush). Rimmel Scandaleyes blue eyeliner, an instant perk-me-up. It's a colour that can be built up for a more striking look, or swiped in the lower water line for eye-catching colour. Maxfactor False Lash Effect waterproof mascara, a buildable mascara for more definition. This, quite importantly for me, is a waterproof mascara that stays well, can be layered and doesn't take a ridiculous amount of effort to remove from the lashes. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer, a brightening under-eye product. The instant 'wake-me-up' concealer. All too often I look into the mirror halfway into a working day and reach for this bad boy to tackle my tired eyes, it works a treat! Little tip: I sometimes use this down the nose and on the cupids bow as a bit of a highlighter. You may be able to see a MAC lipstick hiding within my make up bag (which came with my Laura Mercier travel-sized brush set for anyone wondering). The lipstick represents something that in my opinion should always be in a girl's make up bag on the go, a red lip product! The one in my make up bag at the minute is MAC's Lady Danger, a gorgeous red-orange bright lip. A red lipstick is a fail safe way of transforming a make up look with one product. Whether it is from desk to drinks or for an important meeting, a red lip works wonders.

This may be a type of post you see more of from me. Whilst staples like the red lip product aren't likely to change, there is always room for updating from time to time so stay tuned!
