The Desk to Drinks Essentials

Now that I have graduated and have a full time job, I do find there are occasions when I go straight from work to a something more social - most likely some drinks! So I have found it is always handy to have a few essentials on stand by for these events, which come in particularly useful when they come unplanned. So, what is there?
Charles Worthington's Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray - this is a must for me. Throughout the day. my hair seems to get more and more lifeless. So this little gem is perfect for putting some zest into my hair in a flash.
Benefit's Dallas Box O Powder - this is definitely one of my all-time favourites blushers. Perfect for a healthy, bronzed pop on the cheeks. This is perfect for both day and night in my opinion!
Maybelline's Dream Touch Lumi Concealer - an instant pick-me-up for under the eyes. I can't be the only one who can look a little worse for wear after a long day's work right? (right?!) Well a little dab of this under my eyes instantly makes me look more awake for it's brightening properties.
MAC's Studio Fix Powder (in NC42) - this works in two ways for me. I either sweep this over my face to take away any shine that has accumulated throughout the day. Or if my base has worn off by the time work is over, I can use the sponge and pat the powder over my skin for more coverage.
Rimmel's Apocalips (in Across the Universe) - a red lip, need I say more? This shade is a deep red, although any red will probably do (the apocalips shade 'Big Bang' looks pretty awesome!). A swipe of this over my lips can transform any look. Essentially, a bold lip can make you look like you've put more effort into your appearance than you actually would have by doing this one step. Why apocalips? Well you may know I have a real love for liquid lipsticks, they are long wearing and saturated with colour and are super easy to use!
Benefit's Gimme Brow - although I am quite lucky that my brow make up doesn't tend to move or wear off that much throughout the day, the little product is great for a top up. It places a little more definition through my brows, and more importantly for me, it grooms them to perfection as well!

What are your desk to drinks essentials?

  1. I'm absolutely raving about the Rimmel Apocolips lately! They just keep on giving!

  2. I agree that a bold lip is a 'desk to drink' essential! I also pack some liquid eyeliner because I think putting some winged liner makes it look like you made more effort than you did :)

  3. I need to try the Charles Worthington Texturising Spray! It sounds amazing!
