Bourjois Happy Light Foundation

Not that I really need anymore foundations, but a couple of weeks ago I found myself wanting a new base that would be light and great for this time of year. The Bourjois Happy Light foundation had been on my radar for quite some time thanks to the lovely Anna from Vivianna Does Make Up. I normally go for yellow-toned foundations, I find they flatter my skin the best and they are amazing for looking natural and neutralising redness. However, Happy Light has translucent pigments which is something quite new for me, so I was very intrigued to find out what that would mean for the foundation's finish and how it would suit my skin.
It is definitely a foundation with light coverage. In an area where I have slight pigmentation on my face, I was able to apply a little more product and stipple it on with my trusty real techniques stippling brush, and this gave me the extra coverage I needed.
Although it isn't a long-wear foundation, it is certainly great for everyday make up. I love how you can't feel it on the skin and it wears down evenly without breaking apart like some other foundations do. The translucent base is very flattering and super natural which makes a nice change from my usual yellow-toned picks.
The Bourjois Happy Light foundation retails for £11.99, which is pricier than what you would expect a drugstore foundation to be, but that said you can often get them on offer and the formula is comparable to offerings from higher end brands.

  1. Been considering purchasing this foundation, I've got the Healthy Mix Serum which i find a bit too matte! Is this one good for dry skin do you think?
    Great post x
