Bronze Week: The Multitaskers

Ah! No make up bag is truly complete without a trusty multitasking product. Something you can pop in  your handbag and ticks more than one box therefore saving some much needed space. These bronzed gems are my go to's when I want make up with less fuss, more speed and great quality.

First up, we have the Sleek Face Form palette in Medium. Retailing for £9.99, this handy compact palette has three colours. The darkest one is great for contouring, the centre shade is perfect for highlighting and the final one I like to use as a blush. All three make awesome eyeshadows too. They are highly pigmented and so easy to work with. A true multitasker!

Next, there's the Bourjois 8 in 1 Bronzing Cream. This stepped into my make up wardrobe some time last summer and has been something I've reached for a fair few times since. I use it on its own for light coverage and a bronzed glow, mix it in with foundation if it's a tad too light, and buff it over foundation if I want a more dewy bronzer than my usual powder. All in all a very different product that I've found very useful. I particularly like that it has SPF in there, which is perfect for this time of year when I want to wear a foundation that doesn't have any form of sun protection. This also retails for £9.99.

Now for a multitasker for the eyes. The Dior Twinset Eye Shadow Duo & Blend Pen in Beige Ribbon, retails for £24.99, certainly a very 'premium' price point! One side has a cream shadow stick and the other has powder which is great layered over the top. Anyone here remember an old Benefit product called Gilded? Well the cream stick side is very similar to that just a little less golden and more beige, making a little more subtle. So it makes for a really great highlighter, particularly in the inner corners of the eyes and under the brows. The Twinset is something that I often forget about, but after writing about it, I'm definitely going to be getting mine out again!

And then there's the most expensive of the bunch, something I coveted for such a long time, the NARS Matte Multiple in Vientiane. Coming in at £30.00, the matte multiples are certainly an investment. Personally I love that I can use this and not have to worry about it being 'too much' for my sometimes oily skin. I most often use this as a contouring product, striping it on my face in the usual contouring places and then blending out with a buffing brush. Although, it also makes for a nice bronze blush and can be used as both an eyeshadow and a lip colour (not that I personally tend to use it on the lips). This nifty little thing can take the place of about 3 items in my make up bag, so it definitely earns its name as a multitasker.

Last but not least we have a blogger favourite, the Solar Powder Bronzer from Soap & Glory. This lovely little thing is £11.00 and often makes an appearance in my daily make up routine. Admittedly, it is a teeny bit too fair for me to use as a contour product, but if you have fairer skin than me, that's one use right there! I like to use it for an all over glow; swirl the colours together for a healthy bronzed blush or just use the lighter shade to highlight the high points of my face. If I was in a jam, I'm sure I could also use them as eyeshadows too!

So there you have it for the second instalment from Bronze Week on the blog. In case you did catch yesterday's post, you can read that HERE. See you tomorrow for another dose of all things Bronze!
