Mac 217 and 239

It is fair to say that I have a rather extensive makeup brush collection. However, when you were makeup nearly every day, brush laundry can become quite a chore and once a week simply does not cut it for eye brushes when you like to change up what colours you wear. The 239 brush (the one on the right) is the second that I add to my collection. It is one of my all time favourite eye shadow brushes. It's a good size, relatively flat and super soft; making it my go-to brush for eyeshadow. You can pack on colour in just a few sweeps. I'd been meaning to get another one of these for the longest time. There's not enough talk about the 239 in my opinion, it definitely deserves some hype.

As for the other brush I purchased, the 217, there's plenty of hype around it, and deservedly so. I can't believe it has taken me this long to finally own a 217; there have been a countless number of youtube videos I've seen that have made me pop this little gem on my shopping list! The 217 is soft and fluffy making it perfect for blending eyeshadow. Ever popped on eyeshadow and thought the edges were a little too harsh? No problem! Run the 217 over it and within seconds you'll achieve a seamless blend that you'd think only the pros could achieve!

The 239 retails for £21.00 and the 217 retails for £19.00. So they are certainly not the cheapest brushes out there, but they earn their premium price point. Look after them well and they will last you a very, very long time - well worth it in my opinion!
