Vita Coco Coconut Oil

The first time I used coconut oil was about 3 years ago. I bought a tub from Superdrug and was so intrigued by it! I would pop a generous helping of it in my hair and sleep in it for a really deep conditioning treatment. But after using it all up, coconut oil completely dropped of my radar.
However, recently I've been obsessed with Vita Coco. The whole brand is really fun and best of all, it's pretty darn good for you! Coffee lovers should definitely try their latte and mocha, they are my favourites!
When I found out that the brand now do coconut oil, I definitely wanted to give it a whirl. I have the 250ml tub (pictured above) and the larger 500ml one. This time around, I'm using it for more than just my hair! My top uses for it are:
- Cooking! I'd never used this in the kitchen before, but my 500ml tub lives in there now. Forget olive oil and butter, this is a great substitution. Plus, it doesn't give an overwhelming coconutty flavour, there's a hint of coconut but its way better taste than a bounty bar!
- My cuticles, coconut oil makes a great post-manicure nail treatment.
- Dry skin, I like to concentrate this on areas of skin that have become flaky, whether that's on my face, knees or elbows!
- My hair, I still like using this as a treatment for deep conditioning.

You can find out more on Vita Coco's coconut oil and where to buy it on their website. In my opinion, it's a great and inexpensive addition to your cooking and beauty regime!
