Topshop Makeup on Feel Unique

Ah, Topshop makeup! I'll be honest, I was a tad sceptical when they first launched their cosmetics range a couple of years or so ago. What are the chances of a fashion brand really hitting it out of the park with makeup? Well, Topshop has done it! They've got some smashing bits and are now all available on Feel Unique too! So, what do we have here....

Topshop Blush in 'Head Over Heels'. I love this shade! It's a beautiful warm peachy-pink shade, perfect for spring and a very 'fresh' makeup look. The formulation is not too creamy - something that normally puts me off cream blushers, I've found some in the past to leave too much of a tacky/sticky finish! What's also great about it, is that I don't have to use an inordinate amount of it for it to actually show up on my skin, this can be the case with quite a few cream blushers this colour. For instance, my Bourjois one is gorgeous, but it takes a lot of layers for it to look decent on me. I like to stipple this onto my cheeks with my trusty Real Techniques Stippling Brush for best results. I'll be getting a lot of use out of this one!

Topshop Magic Liner in Black. You all know I'm a gel liner type of gal. I've had too many mishaps with liquid liners not having the colour pay off and longevity. I was pleasantly surprised that this liner has a lot of pigment and layers easily over eyeshadow, this is normally quite a difficult feat! I've really liked using this along my lash line to create a little more definition.

Topshop Concealer Palette. I was really looking forward to trying out some of Topshop's new face range. This concealer palette is a great little addition to a makeup bag. You've got 3 cream shades. A yellow, I like to use this to cancel out any redness I have on my skin before popping on foundation. And then you have two more 'skin colour' tones. I like to use the darker one as a corrector under my eyes, and then dab on the lighter one over the top to brighten that up. Having some setting powder included in this palette is a great shout, with any type of creamy concealer a setting powder is always needed! For me at least...

Have you tried any of Topshop's makeup, including their collection for the face?

  1. The blusher is a gorgeous shade! I was skeptical at too when they first came out, buying only a lipstick in 'hazard' but it's a gorgeous lippy. I feel the need to try the blusher and liner now!

  2. I didn't think I'd like this make up at all, but the blush is amazing! I think I will be looking at the highlighters next, and definitely that liner. I've always love the polishes, so glad I browse the make up :)
